Neoarch Studio and the European Creative Hubs Network (ECHN)

Neoarch Studio is part of the European Creative Hubs Network (ECHN), which brings together more than 400 creative hubs across Europe operating in the fields of culture, design, creative industries and innovation.

ECHN is an important platform that encourages collaboration among creative hubs across Europe, supports cultural production and fosters the development of interdisciplinary creative networks. The network contributes to establishing international connections among institutions and research-oriented studios working in architecture, design, cultural heritage, art and the creative industries.

As an interdisciplinary studio conducting architectural heritage research, cultural heritage documentation and design-oriented studies, Neoarch Studio is pleased to be part of this international network.

The studio approaches the architectural and cultural heritage of Anatolia through the lens of contemporary design thinking and research methodologies, aiming to develop new collaborations within international academic and creative networks.

Membership in ECHN enables Neoarch Studio to share its work in cultural heritage research, architectural analysis and design-oriented studies with similar institutions and creative hubs across Europe, while also creating opportunities for new collaborative projects.

Our Design and Research Approach and the Principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB)

Neoarch Studio is a member of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Community, an initiative launched by the European Commission.

Neoarch Studio adopts an interdisciplinary approach that brings together design, architecture, art history and cultural heritage research. Our work focuses on the analysis of historic environments, the documentation of cultural heritage and the reinterpretation of accumulated spatial knowledge through contemporary design thinking.

This approach aligns with the principles of the New European Bauhaus initiative launched by the European Union, which promotes beautiful, sustainable and inclusive spaces. Neoarch Studio considers cultural heritage not only as a value to be preserved, but also as a source of knowledge and inspiration for contemporary architectural and design practices.

Through a research-based design approach, our work aims to establish continuity between the past and the future through architectural analysis, cultural heritage research and the development of contemporary spatial concepts.

Alignment with New European Bauhaus Principles

Neoarch Studio’s approach is aligned with the three core principles defined by the New European Bauhaus initiative:

Beautiful
A focus on aesthetic values, architectural identity and the preservation and reinterpretation of cultural heritage.

Sustainable
Environmental responsibility, energy awareness and the use of sustainable materials.

Together
Social participation, accessible spaces and inclusive public environments.

Our studio embraces a design and research approach aligned with the spatial vision promoted by the New European Bauhaus, based on the principles of aesthetics (Beautiful), sustainability (Sustainable), and inclusiveness (Together), and develops its work in accordance with these values.

Reading, Understanding and Sustaining Cultural Heritage

Cultural heritage is not merely a physical structure to be preserved; it is a multilayered value that carries the memory of societies, their accumulated knowledge and their relationship with space. This heritage can only be transmitted to the future through careful reading and understanding.

Neoarch Studio approaches historic environments not only as aesthetic or formal entities, but as cultural, spatial and historical contexts. Architecture is understood as an ongoing dialogue with the past.

The drawings and visual studies produced within this framework are part of a broader process of documentation, architectural interpretation and analytical thinking. Each detail aims to reveal the continuity of a structure through time and to transform every intervention into a conscious, ethical and responsible process.
